More music for the holidays! : Thanks to our colleagues at the University Archives for posting this Christmas gift of music; a very regional holiday rendition by the UWI’s Panoridim Steel Orchestra!

It is time to celebrate the end of another year! 2015 has been a year of changes, challenges and accomplishments. Yet, we are still alive and we have lots to be grateful for! Thank you for journeying with us through the year 2015.

We share with you a 2011 rendition on steelpan, by UWI Panoridim Steel Orchestra, of the Jamaican Carol Sing De Chorus, Clap Yuh Han’.  This song was composed by Noel Dexter, a noted musician and composer, a  Director of Music at UWI, Mona, for some 35 years, and the 2013 recipient of the Doctor of Laws, honoris causa  of The UWI. It captures the message of the Yuletide season, with its  Christian message of Hope, Peace and Love, in the rhythms of the Caribbean.
