Listen in to a recording from the launch our occasional series on UWI & the 1960s which took place at a panel presentation/discussion on the visit to the University of the West Indies (UWI) by Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr, 50 years ago. Our November 6, 2015 panel on the meaning and importance of MLK’s visit was the first in the planned, occasional series.
The speakers are Dr Suzanne Francis-Brown, Curator of the UWI Museum, and Prof Matthew Smith, Director of the Social History Project (SHP) of the university’s Department of History & Archaeology. The recording was done courtesy of the Media Lab of the University Archives.
Our pop-up exhibition on UWI’s MLK Moment is still on, through November.
Congrats,
Ainsley
